Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - A former Pennsylvania
resident currently living in North Carolina was ordered June 22 to pay more
than $11,700 in restitution to his companys pension plan, a fine of
$3,000 and a $50 special assessment. |

Scott L. Stover, formerly of Bern Township, a
suburb of Reading, also was sentenced to serve five years probation
including four months of home confinement for embezzling assets of the employee
benefit plan covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act
(ERISA). |

Stover, owner of the now defunct Mel Dietrich
Electrical Construction, Inc. of Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty
December 18,
2000 to embezzling approximately $22,000 from the companys retirement
plan while he and his wife were trustees. |

The sentence was handed down in federal
district court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The
sentencing resulted from an investigation conducted by the Philadelphia
Regional Office of the Labor Departments Pension and Welfare Benefits
Administration. |
