WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor will host outreach events in Bridgeton, Missouri, on March 20 and 21, 2018, for former and current nuclear weapons workers and their survivors. Federal representatives will present about the mission of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the medical benefits available to approved claimants under the program.

Staff from the Denver District Office of the Department’s Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) and representatives from the Paducah Resource Center will be available to assist individuals in filing claims for new conditions, and provide status updates on existing EEOICPA claims.

To date, the program has paid $211 million in EEOICPA compensation and medical benefits to 1,914 Missouri claimants, and $14.6 billion nationwide.
